🌴 Merlot in the Philippines
Merlot is challenging to grow in the Philippine tropical climate. High temperatures and humidity can increase disease pressure and may make it difficult to achieve the balance of sugar, acidity, color and tannins expected from traditional Merlot.
For a Philippine vineyard, tropical-adapted hybrids may be a better starting point than conventional Merlot.
